🔮 Future
Course Expectation
At the class of Intro to Intro to Computing (Lab) or CS0001L and compared to the other computer classes in my current semester, I think I’ll enjoy continuing to being introduced to the various features the internet the teacher introduces to me. So far I’ve been made to make certain presentations style content via Microsoft Docs and made to use its various features. It was quite interesting and perplexing to use such features despite the fact that I’ve had experience in such avenues, though that was my experience in Windows and currently I am on Mac developing my reflection on this which again is outside my comfort zone. I like the concept of constantly being pushed outside my comfort zone incrementally being introduced to new features or concepts and being made to apply them, it’d make for an educational experience especially at the leeway of time allotted to accomplish them. So I’ll continue to enjoy this current pace of incremental learning until the end of the semester.
Future Career
I know in a pragmatic sense that the job industry of IT specializations is somewhat crowded to the extent that one must have even a very specific degree of competency to undergo an evaluation of consideration. To the uninformed, one could easily fall into a trap of being taken advantage of in certain scenarios or being handled or treated to a more below average degree compared to others alike. Of course, this is an observation from experiences of other professionals overseas and likely a very generalized view of things but it has been a prevalent trend that would make one consider things in the first place. Thus, in preparation for said case, I’ll likely garner experience in popular programming languages used like Python, Java, SQL, and etc. Additionally, I'll familiarize myself with the experiences of other professionals in my home country to get a view of how the average work culture and environment is like, expected responsibilities, and the domains of how such workflows would take place. Ultimately, while it is all theoretical, experience is what I would eventually need to depend on in person to synthesize all I learned and adapt into a professional career I would find myself content in.
